Published logo prices for Ghana run from US$50 at Maniflexa to GHS 4,067.85 at Faciotech. A price of that spread says little until you know the number of concepts, the revision rounds and the files you receive. Two logos at the same price can differ in concepts, rounds and files.

Tribal House is a brand and web design studio in Accra. This guide collects published logo prices, lists the deliverables that belong in any logo contract and flags the warning signs. For the cost of a full identity, read our guide to brand identity design cost in Ghana.

Treat the figures as marketing pages and guides, not audited rates. Prices move, and the sellers above change their offers, so confirm each number with the provider before you budget.

Why does the price of a logo vary so much between designers?

Experience, the number of concepts, the revision rounds and the file package set the price. Kashgain's pay guide, dated 31 January 2025, shows how experience moves project fees: GHS 500 to 3,000 per project for entry-level freelance graphic designers, GHS 3,000 to 10,000 at mid-level and GHS 10,000 to 30,000 for senior freelancers.

  • Experience. Kashgain defines entry-level as zero to three years and mid-level as four to seven years. The guide covers graphic design in general and gives no logo-only figure.
  • Concepts. Each concept is a separate design idea built from research and sketches. Three concepts take more hours than one.
  • Revisions. SokoJob says most designers include two to three rounds and charge extra for unlimited revisions.
  • Files. A vector master, colour versions and a usage sheet take more preparation than a single PNG.
  • Research. A designer who studies your market, competitors and customers before drawing spends hours that a template seller skips.

What files should a logo job deliver?

A logo job should deliver vector masters, transparent PNG files, colour versions, a favicon and a one-page usage sheet. SokoJob says clients receive AI, PNG, PDF and high-resolution files. Vector files scale without losing resolution, according to Jacob Cass's file guide, so one master serves a business card and a billboard.

Vector master (AI)The editable working file. Printers, signwriters and future designers start here.Jacob Cass calls AI the original, editable working file of the designer.

Transparent PNGSocial media, email signatures and slides. Sits on any background colour.Jacob Cass notes that PNG allows transparency.
Colour versionsFull colour, one colour, black and white, and a reversed version for dark backgrounds.Maniflexa lists full colour, monochrome, black and white and icon versions.
FaviconThe small icon in browser tabs and Google results. Square, at least 8 by 8 pixels, and Google recommends larger than 48 by 48.Google Search Central
Usage sheetOne page with clear space, minimum size, colour codes, fonts and misuse examples.Faciotech includes a basic brand style guide. Maniflexa pairs five concepts with a guidelines document.

Google Search Central adds that the favicon should represent your brand, that Google shows one favicon per site and that the file address should stay stable. Ask the designer for a favicon export before you pay the final invoice.

Ownership belongs in the contract. Write that you receive the vector masters and own the final logo, and ask a lawyer to check the wording.

Test the finished logo at the sizes where it will live. Shrink it to the size of a favicon and a social profile picture, then print it in one colour. A mark that survives those three tests works on a shopfront sign and on a phone screen.

How many logo concepts and revisions should you expect?

Three concepts and two to three revision rounds is a common offer. Faciotech includes three concepts and up to two rounds on the chosen concept. SokoJob says most designers include two to three rounds. Maniflexa offers unlimited revisions. Ask for the numbers in writing and for the price of an extra round.

  • Concepts are directions, not options to mix. Choose one, then refine it. Blending three concepts produces a fourth that no one planned.
  • One voice per round. Collect comments from your team into one list before you send them.
  • A deadline per round. Tribal House gives each revision round a deadline and collects comments in one place. Open-ended rounds stretch the schedule.
  • Scope changes in writing. A new direction after approval is a new brief. Tribal House handles it through a change order that you approve first.

Our guide to the brand identity design process shows where concepts and revisions fit inside a full identity project.

What are the red flags when you hire a logo designer in Ghana?

The red flags are spec work, template logos, missing source files, no written scope and a price that names no concepts or revisions. AIGA defines spec work as work done before a client engages the designer, in hope of payment later, and says it receives little time or thought.

  • Spec work. AIGA says spec work skips research, the comparison of alternatives and testing, which lowers the quality of the result. AIGA names intellectual property and trademark risk for both parties.
  • Template or stock logos. Ask where each shape and typeface came from. A reverse image search on the finished mark is a quick check.
  • No source files. If the designer hands over only PNG or JPG files, you cannot resize or edit the logo. SokoJob and Faciotech both list AI files in their deliverables.
  • Unlimited revisions with no deadline. SokoJob says unlimited revisions cost extra, so ask what limit sits behind the promise.
  • No written scope. The quote should name the concepts, the revision rounds, the files and the delivery date.
  • A price far below the ranges above. Ask what the lower price leaves out: research, concepts, files or the usage sheet.

When is a logo not enough for a business in Ghana?

A logo falls short when your business needs one consistent look across a website, packaging, signage, proposals and social media. A logo is one asset. A brand system adds colour, type, imagery rules and guidelines, and SokoJob prices that bundle at GHS 2,000 to GHS 8,000.

For GoTo, an app concept that combines travel with learning about the culture of Africa, Tribal House built the logotype around the key words minimalistic, simple and smart, so it works across different materials and printing techniques. We then developed a visual language around shape and repetition for presentation assets and rollout visuals. Read the GoTo case study.

For Alutrade, an aluminium trading and fabrication business, the brand and website came together as one grid-based system that holds up across spec sheets and the website. See the Alutrade project. If you need a site as well, our services page explains how one team handles both.

How do you brief a logo designer?

A good brief fits on one page and names the business, the audience, the places the logo will appear and the three words you want people to link to it. Write it before you contact designers, and send the same brief to each one so the quotes compare.

  1. State what the business sells and to whom.
  2. List where the logo will appear first: signage, packaging, a website, a vehicle, uniforms or social media.
  3. Show two or three logos you admire and one you dislike, with a sentence on each.
  4. Name the competitors your logo must stand apart from.
  5. Ask for the quote to state the concepts, the revision rounds, the files, the delivery date and the licence terms.
  6. Agree on one decision maker and a feedback deadline for each round.

What does Tribal House charge for logo work?

Tribal House does not publish a logo-only price. Project sprints start at US$2,500 for one defined outcome, such as a brand system. Brand and website engagements start at US$6,000, and monthly retainers start at US$1,500. Ghana-based clients receive a cedi quote after a 30-minute discovery call.

We invoice projects in three stages: 40% at kickoff, 40% during production and 20% at final delivery. Design work is time-based and not refundable, and a signed NDA comes before work starts if you need one. See our plans, or book a call to get a written scope and fee for your logo.

How many revisions should a logo include?
SokoJob says most designers include two to three revision rounds and charge extra for unlimited revisions. Faciotech includes up to two rounds on the chosen concept. Agree the number and the price of an extra round before you start.

Buy a logo when you need a mark for a small launch. Buy a brand identity when the business needs one look across a website, packaging and sales material. SokoJob prices brand systems at GHS 2,000 to 8,000.
